Austria
Direct legislation and policy on the eAccessibility theme seem quite limited in Austria, mainly focusing on public websites to date. However, the disability equality legislation seems to have provided a basis for efforts to encourage greater accessibility in various fields, including public and private websites and broadcast TV. In relation to actual levels of eAccessibility achieved to date, from a comparative perspective the situation in Austria is somewhat below the European average.
