Public procurement
Legislation/regulations
The Federal Procurement Act 2006, which entered into force on 31 January 2006, replaced the Federal Procurement Act 2002. The Act does not make any reference to barrier-free eAccessibility; only to barrier-free construction so there is no direct relevance for eAccessibility. It is expected, however, that the scope of the definition of barrier-free will be expanded in order to include eAccessibility as well, but at the moment the process is still in development.
Other initiatives
It appears that there are currently no relevant initiatives or efforts to raise awareness of eAccessibility among procurers.
