Cyprus

So far, the main focus of direct legislation on accessibility in Cyprus has been in relation to telecommunications, though under a national initiative, all public websites are to be accessible by the end of 2008 and there are also initiatives in relation to broadcasting.  Anti-discrimination legislation on employment and on the provision of goods and services could also provide a basis for development of eAccessibility. In terms of actual levels of accessibility achieved to date, Cyprus is well below the European average.
