Denmark
Danish policy on disability emphasises the three main principles of solidarity, compensation and sector responsibility rather than direct legislation. In web accessibility, this has resulted in a national agreement on mandatory use of accessibility standards. Obligations in relation to telecommunications are underpinned by legislation, while broadcasting obligations are set out in service contracts. In terms of actual levels of accessibility achieved to date, Denmark is above the European average.
