Analogue TV
The main broadcasting legislation does not contain any reference to people with special needs or disabilities.
Digital TV
The broadcasting legislation applies to both analogue and digital TV, but does not contain any eAccessibility provisions.
Other initiatives
TV channels provide subtitles for translation purposes. The public service broadcaster also provides subtitling of some of its own productions. Sign language interpretation is provided by some channels for news and other special programmes. No audio description service is provided.
