Horizontal or co-ordinated eAccessibility measures
Here the focus is on whether, in addition to the various sectoral themes discussed above, there are also horizontal or co-ordinated eAccessibility measure that cover a range of sectoral themes or dimensions of eAccessibility.
The European Structural Funds are having an impact on eAccessibility in Greece. Recently an accessibility committee has been established with the participation of the authorities responsible for the structural funds in Greece as well as with the participation of the Confederation of Associations of People with Disabilities (ESAMEA). The main aim of this committee is to ensure that accessibility is considered in all the actions that will be funded from the National Strategic Development Plan (NSDP) 2007- 2013. In this context, ESAMEA has prepared a reference document for the assurance of accessibility as a horizontal requirement in the operational programmes of the programming period 2007-2013.
