The most visible legislative / regulatory efforts in Italy seem to be in relation to public websites and public procurement of ICTs, as covered in the ‘Stanca’ Law and its subsequent decrees. In relation to actual levels of eAccessibility achieved to date, from a comparative perspective the situation in Italy is assessed as being somewhat above the European average though not as well developed as the forerunner countries.
